Dan Johnson was born in St. Paul, Minn. and grew up in Palo Alto, Calif. He graduated with a degree in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga, VISTA Volunteer in Southeastern Utah (the Navajo Nation included), lobbyist for Colorado Counties, Inc, he had a thirty plus year career with Chevron Corporation in policy, government, and public affairs. He then retired to Peabody, Mass. and has written this memoir in celebration of his life, family, and friends.
