For Lori

There are few people on this planet who share the experience of more than twenty years together. We are pleased to present two that have. Lori and Daniel have a history so few couples share. Were it not accomplishment enough to be a mother and father of three children, Daniel and Lori would have still surpassed the joy and pain of parenthood to become a even greater force, for those of us who did not. It is obvious, upon reading the work, that she is the driving force in this collection of poems. Even though it is hard to imagine Lori as a "driving force", it is easy to think that she is the impetus for the thoughts which Daniel so eloquently provides. Carole Luther
