Redemption's Wake 2 - Dark Star A Matt Blake Western

THERE’S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN.

In the summer of 1880, Matt Blake left Kansas abruptly and rode to a desert boomtown, desperate to save his brother, James. His steel nerves and fast gun ended up saving not only his brother, but the whole town. The grateful citizens pinned a tin star to his vest.

Now, in 1881, life is good for a change in Angelico, New Mexico. Thanks to Blake’s efforts, people are no longer subject to the cruel edicts of the corrupt former sheriff and his henchmen, the enslavement of miners by a vicious, claim-jumping gang, or the fear of a maniacal gunman from the past.

Finally, Blake and his brother can lay claim to blessings they’d not had in years.

Peace. Safety. Family.

But a powerful enemy from the east isn’t ready to tuck tail and run. Thaxton Broadwell, the New York banker who financed the initial corruption, knows the true value of James Blake’s silver mine. He knows the railroad line is nearing completion. And he has plenty of time to plan his attack.

He’ll stop at nothing to get the three things that drive him.

Money. Power. Revenge.

War is coming.

Once again, the citizens of Angelico need someone to stand in the breach.

And his name is Matt Blake.
