The Leg Breaker (Tlb)

Mir Aref Hassan, Dr, PhD and Mir Aref Hassan Ph. D.

The Leg Breaker (TLB), United States/Afghanistan (USAF), has a double taste. It talks about greatness, glories, strengths, and power of a super power, the United States of America (USA), and the weaknesses of a small country, Afghanistan that have been railroaded during the course of history by super powers and it's neighboring countries that always have been more powerful than Afghanistan. Dr. Hassan that have spent the first half of his 67 years life in Afghanistan, and the second half in the United States, in a very carefully unique way tells us how the USA and the Afghanistan Mujahedeen fought together and defeated the Soviet Unions, and shattered the glass ceiling of the communism altogether at that country. When the Taliban that were educated in Pakistani Madrassas to hate Americans and infidels, emerged with assistant, support, and encouragement of ISI of Pakistan among the Mujahedeen to destroy Afghanistan, in 2011, with support of the Northern alliance group of Afghanistan Mujahedeen, USA bombed the Taliban from the air and Northern alliance on the ground run off the Taliban from the power in Afghanistan. Many families were destroyed. Many people got killed and many others refuged to Pakistan and Iran refugee camps. Many Afghans came to this country that were educated in USA and had been married to an American like Abdul one character of this novel, made this country their safe haven. Some of the Afghans tough it up Like Zalmay another character of this novel, and stayed in their country of Afghanistan and fought the odds, passively or actively, overtly, or covertly, and in any other which way possible. In June of 2010, Dr. Hassan resigned from his 18 years job as a City Manager and joined the American army as a linguist, and went to Afghanistan, to have an insight of what is going on in Afghanistan and why it took us ten years to fight the Taliban and we are still there. In January of 2011, he came back home and wrote this novel to explain how the American army is fighting the Taliban.
