Storms and Storms
Dolores Thome Cooper's poetry, rich with metaphor, touches on the longing of the human spirit for meaningful relationships, ones in which the person inside is understood and treasured. She knows that people have a deep need for friends who care and share. And, the storms of life have special meaning. Cooper writes that "the storm out there quiets my storm inside." She also writes of honesty: Don't promise me forever it may not be yours to give...Just promise me this moment and every other that you live. Despite life's storms, Cooper's poems are filled with wit and hope. She writes, Good morning world, I love you still/I guess I really always will.
