Brat

In the early seventies, Led Zeppelin ruled the air waves, belled bottomed jeans and bandana head scarves swept the fashion magazines. Belamie McConnell was not a typical teenager. She was an Air Force Brat from the time she was a twinkle in her father's eye. Afforded the luxury of world travel and being fluent in several languages, she grew up strong and independent. Always encircled by loving family and good friends, she felt safe and life was close to idyllic. Then Belamie's Dad received orders to be stationed at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. Everything she knew or perceived her life to be, any plans she'd mapped out for her future, changed in that instant.
