A Desert Rose (The White Rose Series)

Like roses blooming in the wake of winter’s retreat, conspiracies flourish across Velutaria, threatening to weed out the delicate seedbed into which the Coalition has sunk its roots of alliance against the Union of Velutarian States.

Treachery flows like wine in a land of airs and graces, and beneath the cloaks in which they lurk, are borne the knives upon whose blades’ revolution is executed. And in winter’s cradle, the squabbling of reluctant twins threatens the stability of a fragile abode, whose collapse will enkindle an annulment of a tenuous peace.

Meanwhile, in a desert where even Gods dare not roam, the well upon which a village depends has abandoned its responsibility, and Talia- three years removed from first entangling herself within the White Rose’s thicket- is appointed to convince the Neraïda to resume its vital duty. But all is not as it seems in the desert, and- like the mirages that lead weary travelers astray - the machinations of the phantom that haunts her dreams casts her adrift in a sea of uncertainty…

…and peril from which she may not return.
