The Contained: Project Virion: Book Two

They should have known safety wouldn’t last. While the community of Nueva Esperanza offers them sanctuary in Sonora, safety is fragile in a world still ruled by fear and the long reach of those who once owned them. As Luci and Alex set out to forge alliances with neighboring communities in hopes of securing freedom, they quickly learn that trust is scarce and every new connection comes with risks of its own. Back in Nueva Esperanza, Myra, Cipher, and Jace take in an unexpected visitor — someone who threatens to disrupt the peace they've fought to build, because escaping Prometheus was never going to be the end. It was only the beginning. In a world where danger is always one step behind, Luci, Alex and those they love will have to decide how much they’re willing to risk to outrun the past in a new world where safety is nothing more than an illusion.
