Call Me Crazy

Kate Taylor

Evelyn Wilson will never forget that frigid February afternoon in 1928 when her world was turned upside down. Fearing that the truth would have dreadful consequences, all those present took an unspoken vow of silence. Now, at the humble age of eighty-two, with her mind plagued by Alzheimer's, the time to face the truth has come. Evelyn, in her deluded state of mind, accidentally reveals to her young gardener Ellie Johnson the horrors of her past. Although Ellie has come to love Evelyn while working for her, she is confronted with the difficult decision of either revealing what she knows or letting a feeble woman live out her last days in peace. In the story of love and forgiveness, two women must confront their pasts and learn what it means to love unconditionally.

Kate Taylor has a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in secondary education from Berry College. After obtaining her degree, she began teaching at a local middle school. She has taught English as a second language, reading, and language arts in her career as well as coached basketball and softball. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, and reading. She currently resides in Cartersville, Georgia. Call Me Crazy is her debut novel and was inspired by her grandmother's battle with Alzheimer's disease.
