Between Lovers

The narrator of Between Lovers has been in love with Nicole for seven years, even after she breaks down at their wedding, saying she needs more time before fully committing. But during her soul-searching, Nicole has not exactly been starving for affection. She has been sharing a life with another woman--Ayanna, an intelligent, tough as nails lawyer. Balancing his love for Nicole with his jealousy of Ayanna, he attempts to keep his emotions in check. Holding back his resentment becomes harder, though, when Nicole approaches him with a proposition to put everyone on an even playing field. Soon, Nicole finds herself caught between the man and woman she loves--literally.
