Welcome to the Northern Neck of Virginia, the peninsula separating the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers, where life is like a replay of the movie Ground Hog Day. However, things quickly take a turn when Mike Mitchell, a local mechanic shop owner and lifelong resident, responds to a call from lawyer Bethany Bovine. She is stranded by the roadside on a rainy night just outside town with her sister’s two kids and her client, Senator “Crank” Bay. After pulling her vehicle onto the rollback, he makes her stay in the car because the truck’s seat belongs to his German Shepherd, Dizzy. Mike finds he is smitten with Bethany, and the two embark on a whirlwind romance that ends in marriage. However, Mike soon discovers that his new bride has another identity. Worse yet, Mike also learns that his trusted employee, Goober, has a side hustle with the Cosa Nostra on the weekends while fixing cars during the week. Can it get worse? The ‘Neck, already home to a major drug bust, hides an auto parts mogul who uses his fleet of tractor-trailers to smuggle guns out of and bring illegal immigrants into Virginia.
