Prick
Prick is a work of creative non-fiction about a sober, depressed retail clerk who is pursuing an undergraduate degree at a state school. That sober, depressed retail clerk is me. I have decided to publish it on Amazon, though I don't have high hopes for it. It is a peculiar book-- about a lonely, isolated, socially awkward student and retail clerk with a mental illness. These are essentially a few of my experiences over the course of the fall of 2011 until the early Summer of 2012. Each chapter is a week or two in each passing season, and contains everything from text messages to class notes to just meandering musings. All the names have been changed to preserve peoples' anonymity, and though I consider myself a fiction author, this book is pretty much a diary (also a diatribe, lamentation, lengthy complaint). I hope, really, that I look as bad if not worse than everyone else in this book. All proceeds from the sale of this book go toward my estimation of my own worth as a writer and as a man. Also, coffee.
