The Haunted
Product Description Love and mystery mix in the second installment of this spine-tingling, hauntingly gorgeous trilogy.
After a summer spent reclaiming her sanity and trying to forget the boy she fell in love with -- the boy who must not exist, cannot exist, because she knows that he is dead -- Abbey returns to Sleepy Hollow, ready to leave the ghosts of her past behind. She throws herself into her schoolwork, her perfume making, and her friendship with Ben, her cute and funny lab partner, who just might be her ticket to getting over Caspian once and for all.
But Abbey can never get over Caspian, and Caspian has no choice but to return to her side, for Caspian is a Shade and Abbey is his destiny. They are tied not only to each other but also to the town of Sleepy Hollow and to the famous legend that binds their fates -- a legend with dark truths that they are only beginning to guess. Review "The Hollow...is a phenomenal read that will leave you itching to read the sequel! Jessica Verday is my favorite break out author of 2009!"-- "Alex Malerba for Twilightseriestheories.com"
"A contemplative read touched with the chill of the grave and the longing of the heart."-- "E. J. Stevens"
"Like Twilight and the Vampire Diaries series, Verday's planned trilogy is characterized by its protagonists' unrequited passions and its narrative's gradual revelation of a second, supernatural world, the rules of which are distinct and complicated."-- "VOYA"
"Spectacular! The Hollow keeps you reading from beginning to end without coming up for air."-- "L. J. Smith, bestselling author of The Vampire Diaries, on The Hollow"
[It] completely blew me away, I loved it...Be prepared to be blown away by this thrilling sequel! It's romantic and mysterious with great characters and an exciting ending that was a huge cliffhanger!-- "Book Scout" About the Author JESSICA VERDAY wrote the first draft of her debut novel, The Hollow, by hand, using thirteen spiral-bound notebooks and fifteen black pens. She likes: things that smell nice, rainy nights, old books, cemeteries, Johnny Cash, zombie movies, L. J. Smith books, abandoned buildings, trains, and snow. She is currently hand-writing the continuation of Abbey and Caspian's story from her home in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

<div>This is the second book in the *Hollow Trilogy*. Each book must be read in order. </div><div> </div><div>Abbey stayed with her aunt for a while because she really thought she was loosing it. When she finally went home she found that Caspian was still there. Maybe he might not be a figment of her imagination. What will she do now? Go to him of course. They can figure this out together.</div><div> </div><div>It's still so cute how Caspian calls Abbey *Astrid*. When Abbey ran to her aunt's house I was so upset. I feel bad that Abbey really thought she was having a breakdown. Abbey seeing Caspian in the shadows outside was not what I expected. When Abbey said she knew the something that was missing in her life was Caspian I melted. I absolutely love the sketches! It was epic when Caspian told Abbey that he only sees color around her. The ending is insane. I'm so excited for *The Hidden* next.</div>
