The Partnership

London.

Edsel Parminter's life has been turned upside down.

His wife has left him for her Spanish lover, and she's emptying all his accounts. To top it off, he has just been made redundant. Only in his local pubs around Fleet Street does Parminter find solace. And only in Polly George will he once again find purpose.

As he and Polly sit drowning their sorrows, they stumble upon a once in a lifetime opportunity. Overhearing some City boys talking about their plan to open a bar called Pimlico Pete's, they spring into action, offering their services as PR directors and marketers of the new establishment.

What follows is a rip-roaring adventure through London as Parminter and Polly go in search of the X Factor to cap off the bar's launch. And their best idea: to find a showstopping horse to wow the locals.

Polly and Parminter search through the countryside and eventually stumble upon the Welsh hills in their quest to acquire the perfect pony. Their hilarious antics cause some risky consequences, as local louts try to step in on their parade. And when another horse is kidnapped and the police come looking, The Partnership begins to fray, their reputation in tatters.

Can Parminter and Polly salvage the mission of Pimlico Pete's?

Or will this be their last job entirely?
