We Need a Road on This Broken Heart

The Important Roads and Bridges are never built. Can drivers ever feel safe knowing the roads beneath them are death traps? When we drive, we expect the roads to be in good condition so that we don’t have any unexpected problems. But our roads aren’t always properly designed nor maintained. In many situations, the important roads and bridges are never built while those that were poorly built wears off during the storms. These poor road conditions continue to lead us to serious terror, horror, chaos, accidents and possibly, Injuries. Alatishe’s Road identifies with pain, brokenness of bones, hemorrhages, flesh wounds, death traps, crashes, loss of limb and the graveness that is caused by poor road conditions. It is the pitiful potholes that break the author’s heart and this pain births /inspires this work of original poetry.
