The world-building is incredibly immersive, full of ancient magic and dark fantasy elements, but I struggled to stay fully connected. The chapters are longer, which made the pacing feel slow at times, and some of the plot points seemed to blend together. Despite that, the unique concept kept me intrigued enough to finish, and I’m definitely curious to see where the sequel will take us! Following the FMC, Keiro, as she faced a web of threats and power struggles was a highlight. Watching her navigate a world where everyone is trying to use her added layers of tension that I appreciated. The story’s complexity and the constant presence of danger made it stand out in the portal fantasy genre, even though it was a bit hard to dive into fully. Now, if you're someone who loves ancient magic, family secrets, dark portal fantasy, and otherworldly intrigue, this might be your next read! It’s not a fast-paced story, but the setup for future books looks promising, and I’m excited to see how everything unfolds.
