Twenty years after the devastating Cataclysm, society has divided into sectors in which the rich enjoy machine-generated weather and sunlight while the poor must live a dank and dark existence. In dismal Sector 5, Beezer, a drug-dealing car thief, discovers the police are hunting him because of his visions of a pre-apocalyptic world, and he must learn his true origins and the meaning of his visions before they find him, if he is to save the world.
