Insatiable

Tyr is a half human, lusus naturae with a diet which consists entirely of other people. A fact about himself which he abhors and constantly struggles with. He travels through the empty expanses of space along with his overprotective friend and emotional support, Phineas, a stray creature of light who is older than entire solar systems but still not beyond the edges of childhood for his kind. Tyr would like nothing better than to make it to the next port undisturbed. But, they wind up facing pirates and war and excessively clingy zealots instead. Along the way, he holds firm to the gratifying belief that "... it would be infinitely preferable to be slowly digested by a giant sandworm."
