Skyward Bound
Skyward Bound tells the story of Makoto Sato, a runaway who decides to seek safe haven on the Asira, a pirate ship led by the fearsome Captain Samir Al-Zahabi. He buys his safe passage with a stolen notebook, but as their journey commences, he finds that the treasure it leads to is the least of his concerns. He finds himself drawn to Samir, and the captain to him in turn, leading to a steamy whirlwind affair that is only further complicated by the arrival of an important figure from Samir's past. Add onto that Makoto's blossoming romance with the charming pirate Ravi, and things become all the more confusing for the wayward runaway. An epic fantasy adventure set against the backdrop of Eternea, a world populated by islands in both sea and sky, Skyward Bound sees the crew of the Asira searching for a treasure thought lost for centuries. They discover the journey is not going to be as simple as they had hoped, however, and they must learn how to tell ally from enemy as they progress in their search for glory and gold.
