Welcome readers,

Take a trip with me through my nightmares. Since I was a teenager, I have suffered from severe nightmares. Partly because of past trauma, and partly because of the medication I took to deal with the trauma. I spent some time studying dreams and talking about their significance to many people in my life. I turned to books and studying first, but; dreams can never be defined to a science. The definitions for losing your teeth or going to school without pants, never quite do the reality in your mind justice. After some time, I was eventually advised to start writing down each dream, this turned out to be excellent advice. I began with a dream journal by my bedside. Once that became overflowing with pieces of my unconscious imagination, I moved on to typing paragraphs to fill in the blanks. As a huge Stephen King fan with a flair for the dramatic, I started using my choppy sleep stories as a basis for short stories. I kept a mostly ignored blog for some time. With a little encouragement and a lot of cold night sweats, I have decided to share this journey with the world. I hope you enjoy the most fearsome, and probably the first nightmare I can remember that stuck enough in my day mind to paralyze me at night time. This is the story of the Blood Red Plant.
