Bad Blood

A thick blanket of fear envelopes the small town of Emporium as multiple murders go unsolved. Now, Emporiumites are double locking their doors and traveling in small groups wherever they go. The fear grows, suffocating the typically quiet and quaint little town as day after day passes–the murderer still at large. As a young boy growing up in Emporium, Hunter Cyrus had dreamed of becoming a police officer, defending and protecting his neighbors. Only, in those times – not so long ago, the crimes were mostly petty and misdemeanors. Nothing so deadly. It’s only been a few weeks since Officer Cyrus was made Detective Cyrus. And since then, four women have been brutally murdered. Emporium’s police force is as small as the town – only four officers, one Detective and one Captain. Det. Cyrus pulls his best officer to work with him. Officer Katelyn Parrish is astute and savvy. Quietly she pieces evidence together that not only puts Det. Cyrus’s job on the line, but also his freedom. In the midst of the town’s rash of murders, with the detective being the prime suspect and on administrative leave, with no pay, he quietly continues to work the case. Not only must he prove his innocence, he’s compelled to keep the women of Emporium safe. Will he succeed at either challenge before it’s too late?
