I think I had different expectations of this book when I picked it up but it was equal parts cute and twisty. I don’t think I expected this to be quite so young feeling ? Which is weird to say since the main character is in fact in high school . The way the teenagers speak definitely makes this feel like more of a book geared toward teen readers which is often not the case in a lot of YA books. I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep reading in this first probably 40 pages but I did end up really enjoying the storyline and plot. The romance was cute and ended up blending into the story nicely instead of making it annoying. I think I would have gone three stars in the beginning but the second half of the book flowed really well.
