Fool's Gold (A Magic Island Paranormal Cozy Mystery)

Book your ticket to Magic Island, where the potions are brewed fresh daily, the beaches are perfect for creature-watching, and the fangs and fur are on full display. The last murder Wren Winters investigated ended in disaster, leaving a killer free to roam the streets and the witch-in-training desperate for a fresh start. Vowing to never wear her detective cap again, Wren is eager to turn her attention to more pressing matters, like trying to wrangle her out-of-control magic while keeping her secret—and her life—safe. And if she can figure out a way to capture the man in black’s affections once and for all? So much the better. Bodies seem to follow Wren wherever she roams, though, and it isn’t long before yet another turns up… and this time, a close friend’s innocence is in question. Before she can even open up her trusty notebook, Wren is plonked down into the middle of a murder mystery once again, and this time, she’s on a hunt to discover the truth behind a mythical rainbow… and the endless riches promised to those who find it. But, like every other promise that seems too good to be true, sometimes all that glitters isn’t gold. Author's Note: Each book includes a self-contained mystery, but there are longer, ongoing subplots that continue throughout the series.
