From the Publisher
From an article by the Lawrence Journal-World: MaLaCoiD wore a hot pink T-shirt and yellow Crocs and walked around peddling $1 pairs of glasses that produced a hologram-like rainbow effect. He said he was trying to spread a message, "You don't need to be wasted, just put on these rainbow glasses."

Perhaps it all started in the mountains. Most likely not, but it's kind of like walking into a conversation at a party. The best thing to do in that situation is to observe for a moment, smiling until you have something to contribute. Sometimes it's just an ear, which is really much more than most people realize. There were five Incidents and a festival in the mountains, with the energy growing each time. Perhaps it started near Valentine's Day- love is energy. The dreads were finally spawned and visited Vegas. By the summer, they had reached adolescence and all the adventure that comes with it. Telluride this time was different. A kind chef had brought back some purple fractal energy from the first Bonnaroo. Having a firm rejection of alcohol, a fondness for pulmonary health, and a disgust for addiction, purple paper was the best choice. Sure, fungus was an option, but who knows how strong it is and the energy might spew forth uncontrollably. That night, color was explained to a blind man. What was imagination became real and what was real became imaginary. The horses started galloping. So THIS is what the Grateful Dead is all about? The stars played connect-the-dots and the polygons changed color only to end up swirling into unity and back out into stars. Music came from ambiance. What WAS that? The morning was glorious, with green mountains and a sky as blue as a Cubs hat. The locks left the valley to regroup in a larger one. A Gathering of Ranger Law Enforcement SUV's was waiting for a Mustang with no front identification and minty Tupperware. "It's all his? That's a whole lot for just one person. You've never even tried it? You're high right now, smiley." Note: dogs are only trained to smell a few things and they already are angry at you. Also, a wallet is an effective hiding place. "Yep. Look here boys, we've got some more. Let's book `em." Easy come easy go, will you let me go? Bismillah! ... A local girl wrote down her address and phone number for a farm where the late night party was. All her girlfriends winked. Back in the car, something didn't sound right. The spare was flat too! The venue was getting empty quickly, and a tow truck said it'd be an hour before someone could help.
