Darkbirth

"Nothing could have prepared Lyra and Dorian for the Higher Plane -- or for the betrayal that brought them here. In this strange place, not even gravity, time, or their own bodies work the way they're used to. The beings who inhabit this plane are powerful beyond measure, and Lyra and Dorian learn revelations from them that no human or vampire was ever meant to know. These beings could hold the power to end the oppression of vampire -- not to mention the solution for the curse. But most of them refuse to acknowledge that Lyra and Dorian exist. Worse, by bringing them to the Higher Plane, Gate Maker has implicated them in a complicated web of ancient crimes -- and their souls are on the hook for his past misbehavior."--Cover
