Numbers
This thirty-six-chapter book seems long and covers from the time of one month after the erection of the Tabernacle in 1463 BC to just before the entrance into the Promised Land, thirty-eight years later in 1425 BC. It is exhaustive in its detail in some parts and barely sketches more than one fact in others. However, the glowing gift to Israel and Bible students of the Church are the time markers and detailed site locations mentioned within its pages. The story in these pages begins at Mount Sinai and ends with Israel camped on the east side of the Jordan River thirty days before the death of Moses. During those 30 days, the LORD will direct Moses to deliver the words found in the book of Deuteronomy.
The chapters in this commentary match the chapters in your Bible.
