Callie

The Safety Officer at a VA hospital meets and falls for the granddaughter of a heart patient. Their romance is interrupted by the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. When the city is evacuated, they lose track of each other. When he goes searching for a safe place to be, he finds a victim of looters who gives him his underground, fully stocked emergency shelter before he dies. Later, while exploring the area, he rescues someone in the woods fleeing from the dead. It's Callie. Together, they endure the dead, survive the living, and escape natural disasters as they try to find a permanent place of safety for themselves and their friends.
