Through My Eyes
Through My Eyes is told from the perspective of an eight year-old African American boy named Tray. After his mom returns home from work visibly upset one evening, it prompts a deep conversation between him and his parents about the injustices that African Americans face daily at the hands of law enforcement as well as citizens in our society. Although the story is fiction, it references true events that have happened in our recent times. The little boy is uneasy and deeply bothered by what he has learned, and seeks to make even the smallest difference in the world around him.
