Read Between the Lines
There have been books of poetry for children, for adults, for scholars, and a multitude of others. But how many collections of poems can you find written for teens to young adults, BY a young adult? The answer is not very many. This collection of poems was written when I was in high school and throughout college. These situations are every day things that teens and young adults can relate to. Look to the words and see what they mean to you, but look beyond the obvious too and notice that there is always more than one meaning to every line of poetry. I hope this can be an inspiration to other young adults, we need more teen authors out in the world today. After all, who understands us better than we do?
