The Summoning
An ancient, buried alien ship's Artificial Intelligence needs help - a threat is bearing down on Earth. It has been out of communication for over 12,000 years in its Virginia mountain redoubt. It can wait no longer for orders or permission. Kim Paar, a 17-year-old part-time waitress, is chosen and drawn to the ship for her brilliant mind and potential. Will she accept the challenge and learn how to pilot a ship to the far reaches of the solar system and beyond to save Earth, by combat if necessary? A simple mission ends up being far more challenging and dangerous than either of them bargained for.
