Behind the Mask

Behind the Mask is a collection of biographical short stories from writer Laurie Forrest depicting her life as a transplant from Winnipeg, MB, Canada, to California. Spanning from Forrest’s own childhood to her adult life and having her own children and grandchildren, this memoir offers relatable stories of growing up, adapting to a new setting, the power of running, and much more. An honest and compelling portrait of the world from the 1950s to 2020 through the human perspective of one woman’s life, Behind the Mask invites you to join Forrest on the journey of a lifetime.
