At the Bridge Cafe: Poems
Robert Hamblin was born and grew up in northeast Mississippi. In his teen years his family owned and managed a small cafe in Booneville. In this chapbook of twenty poems Hamblin revisits that time and place. Memorable characters, local events, nostalgic recollections, gratitude for family and friends, awareness of the fleeting nature of time—all are here in these poignant, bittersweet remembrances of life in the 1950s in a small Southern town.
