Wabi-Sabi
So many poems alert us to what is around: “the night jar [who] flies / across the marshes”; “the stormy winds and night rain”; the dark snake sleeping in green reeds, in soft skin”; the “hawkweed dancing in the wind”; the “mosses, the weeds, the roots, the worms, the beetles, the stones, the stories below.” Likewise, we encounter the people: artists, family, gypsys, ancient warriors, children, the shaman, the witch, the old shepherd – all reflections of past and present, of place, of home.
