Behold the Bond
Product Description A year following Will B. Done’s release from prison, after someone confesses to the crimes for which he was charged, his and his wife Patience’s lives are set on edge by a vandal who threatens their peace through a series of attacks. In addition to this outside threat, inner conflicts test the strength of their marriage bond: Will struggles with a need to contribute more to the household finances and to understand why he had been falsely accused. Patience is taunted with thoughts that she lacks support from her siblings when Ernest, her sick and aging father, can no longer live alone and moves in and she becomes responsible for his care. Moreover, her now adult son Rock grieves for a connection with My Baby’s Father, his biological parent who has been missing from his life since he was 8 years old. The sequel to Behold the State I’m In, Behold the Bond promises to touch a place in your heart and cause you to examine the quality of your relationships with family, friends, associates, and God and, if they fall short, to align them with His commandment to love. Review Wow! Great reading! I cried so much! -- Owilda Fields, HR Consultant
A page-turner about relationships and the power of the Truth, God's Mercy, and His Grace to heal those who are broken and strengthen those in need. -- Lynda Wright, Chief, Support Services
I don't read a lot of fiction, but the author's descriptions of characters and scenes,
especially of Miss Grace and Mr. Mercy's home, drew me right into the story. -- Linda Spottswood, HR Consultant
From the Author When you think "bond," think relationships -- husband and wife, parent and child, aging parent and middle-aged son or daughter, siblings, church family, neighbors, and above all, the relationship we have with our Heavenly Father.
That being said, the "bond" motif in Behold the Bond goes far beyond relationships. An actual savings bond comes into play, which was introduced in Behold the State I'm In. Further, some of the characters are gripped in the mental and emotional bonds of frustration, doubt, obsession, and so on.
Get ready for twists and turns in the plot, and enjoy the Word of God as He gives me illumination and I pass it on to the reader.
Blessings! From the Back Cover
