Devil's Night: A time of harmless fun and pranks that slowly twisted into a night of horror for many in the Metro Detroit area. What began as a few soaped windows and egged cars, became more than eight-hundred house fires with countless acts of vandalism... just in 1984. Many dismissed these events as expected rises in crime with the increased population, while others insisted something more sinister was afoot, and that, perhaps, what was once a night filled with laughter and youthful joy, had truly become one meant for devils. This short story was originally published by The Sisterhood of the Black Pen in Twisted Tales of Halloween Horror (2023).
