Christmas in July

The stories contained within this binding are centered on the Christmas Spirit – even a story on the blessings of Thanksgiving. They are based on my personal experiences throughout most of my 81 years. These experiences all, are sweet memories to me. I know, without any doubt, that others have had similar experiences that tend to linger about in their own mind. – Yet to not draw upon them is, to me at least, proving to be of a selfish nature. I say that because if their memories are not to be shared – why hold on to them at all? I have attempted to form my thoughts and memories into words, placing them onto these few papers – finding it a task, even difficult at times. Let it be known – to have recall, even memories, regardless of the subject, is one thing. To put those feelings and memories under the pen is another. Still, I cherish many memories that have yet to come forth on paper due to the transition of mind over matter. None the less, as you read these few selected stories, be they short or long, I feel they will contribute, hopefully, to bring forth your own treasures that are hidden deep within your mind’s recesses. Allow me to stress early on, without memories, there assuredly comes a time in one’s life that one wishes that they had noted “happenings” down. Even storing them in the library within one’s mind – to be called upon in later years for review - then sharing happily with others. At this time of the year, it certainly being one of the hottest months of the summer, July would seem an odd time to even think of a “Christmas in July” – yet when these stories are read, one might enjoy the cool descriptions I penned, thus the month might not feel so sweaty and sticky after all. The stories contained herein, are but a few of my writings. In all of my endeavors, I do believe I have covered subjects on any situation, on any matter – and perhaps what even matters to you, the reader. Over the years, many readers, both Family and Friends, have been faithful in sharing comments with me on the writings I have shared with them via e-mail - But April nudged me (for months) into selecting only those stories at this time that might be applicable for this, the “Christmas in July” theme. So, going accordingly, I pulled from my writings grouping these stories I thought they would lend to the flavor of a “Christmas in July” for this particular WyattFamily&FriendsReunion of 2013. Enjoy!
