Kill River 3

Cameron Roubique

3 1 rating · 1 review on Book Nook

Everyone thought the water park killer was dead. Nearly three months have passed since the massacre at Thrill River on opening day, the park is shut down and the killer has faded from the headlines. To Cyndi and Johnny, he's a dark part of the past that they only want to bury and forget. To Christie and her friends, he's like an urban legend, and it won't do them any harm if they sneak into the water park one evening just to look around, right? Wrong. The water park killer is still alive, and he's been waiting all summer for some new visitors to come back into his park. To make matters worse, the mysterious Carver family—the owners of the park—are coming back to town just in time for Labor Day weekend. They plan on opening up one last ride before the end of the summer, and for Cyndi, Johnny, and Christie, The Pharaoh River will prove to be their most terrifying ride yet. Kill River 3 is a wild water park sequel, filled with blood, gore, and ‘80s nostalgia. Slasher fans rejoice, old school horror is back!

★★★☆☆

I had a hard time rating this trilogy.. it took me about 10 days to finish all 3. So here is my opinion.. This was a alright 80s. Slasher.. filled with thrills, murder, mystery. I liked this trilogy for the most part, until the beginning of this one. I know, teens have sex at all ages, but I don’t understand what the point was, having it in this book. It was a decent book without it.. especially when the main character is 14/15 years old. Don’t glorify it.. so it brought down my opinion of this book honestly. This whole series had decent thrills, kills and a who is it stance. Having the main character so young was.. kind of dull. Why would you go to a place that resembles the exact location of where your friends are continually murdered. The Murders were creative.. having massacres at water parks was unique.. The drama followed the MC everywhere.. I thought book two was better then book one, and book one was better then book 3. As in book 2, book 1, book 3 in that order of my favorites. Wild I read anymore from this author.. hesitant.. but not a yes or a no..
