Jenny Finding Her Way
Set in the late 1980's, Jenny is a relatively high functioning 28year old librarian despite a complex eating disorder and borderline personality traits. She feels contempt for most people and reacts to her world by wrapping herself in a jumble of mismatched clothes in an unconscious warning to keep others out. In therapy Jenny discovers her deliberate dishevelled appearance only acts to keep healthy people at a distance. Jenny is reactive to the world as she struggles to manage her raw emotions yet feels relief by the systems that are all about her within the library. We meet Jenny just before a major catharsis. This is the first of six novels in the 'Curious Minds' series about individuals with personality disorders. Each book in the series also has a 'fly on the wall' look at what happens inside the therapy room, and how the therapist engages with each patient he works with in the most unique of ways, challenging and illuminating her truth in pursuit of liberation from a tormenting life.
