The DO Generation
The DO generation:
When we look at northern Minnesota we think of walleyes, placid lakes, and quaint towns. Philip Neese, through a series of interviews, opens our eyes to the true history of a not-so-sedate Minnesota. These interviews range from war stories, the mafia in the mid-west, to the struggles of homesteading in the cold tundra of rural Minnesota. His book is an eye-opener to the not-so-distant past of a rugged generation of people who just did what they had to DO.
Philip Neese is a retired police officer, author, and journalist. While conducting these interviews he served as the chairman of his township, senior deacon of his church, husband, father of five, and a professional woodcarver.
