For as long as she can remember, Evie's goal has been to win the annual Autumnal Bay Bake-Off—an obsession only second to finding love. After years of effort, both dreams seem within reach, but beneath the façade of happy neighbors and streets lined with perfect jack-o-lanterns, something is rotten in Autumnal Bay. Unbeknownst to Evie, she is a witch, and only she can save the town from a devastating curse. Evie begins to experience unusual headaches and magical anomalies, making her question her reality and obsess over the mysterious warlock who continues to appear in her dreams. As Evie's focus on the Bake-Off wanes and her intuition continually tells her that something is deeply wrong in Autumnal Bay, Gideon nears the completion of his plan.
