Long Story Short

I’ve never been a fan of poetry. It used to terrify me, and I avoided it at all costs. But, once I realized how much poetry helped me to cope and accept past mistakes/trauma, I couldn't bear to not show it to the world. This book allowed me to lay out all my pain and heartbreak from over the years, yet it was truly magical to put into words. My only wish is that other teenagers, yet really anyone no matter their age, read and know this: you are never alone. There are people out there going through the same exact things, feeling the same way. These poems are my raw and vulnerable thoughts, feelings, and worries. I hope sharing them with you helps you feel less alone.
