Mirror Man
Jack String joins The Southside Gazette just outside London in 1983 as a trainee reporter. He works hard to progress professionally, and socially, despite the suppressive rivalry of his nemesis Bruce Morfield, who has been a thorn in his side for most of his life. Jack takes huge strides forward but an unsolved mystery, strikingly similar to an unsolved mystery he faced as a toddler, finally ends in Bruce's death, which is surprisingly not sad. It's a huge relief and Jack moves forward with renewed confidence www.garrykay.com
