Smoke And Tranquillity

Simon Hunter is a wealthy entrepreneur on a mission. Attempting to come to terms with his inner demons by using his wealth and assets to help the oppressed and unfortunate around the globe, Simon risks his life over and over again in a desperate bid to make the world a better place and maybe, if he's lucky, gain a shot at redemption. However, after multiple successful missions accomplished with the joint aid of British and American intelligence agencies, the same people he thought he could count on have decided that his actions no longer align with their political principles.Blackmailed into doing the dirty work of these national agencies, Simon is forced to use his skills and experience in a series of off-the-books espionage assignments. With the threat of his own government having him deported from his family, the people he's doing all this for in the first place, the spy finds a way to use the unique arsenal of his mysterious home land to accomplish his own objectives while carrying out the wishes of his blackmailers. Sent to West Africa in pursuit of a brutal leader in charge of a fundamentalist new religion, Simon faces his toughest challenge yet, and might have to sacrifice more than his fragile alliance with his home nation in order to free the oppressed innocents living there. An impossible task of infiltration and liberation is brought to life in the pages of Robert Swann's new globe-trotting novel, Smoke and Tranquillity.Caught between a rock and a hard place, Simon is pushed to the extreme as he's forced to play ball with brutal foreign dictators and home government employees who are just as bad as each other.
