A Witch's Last Wish (The Witches of Engles)

Millicent “Missy” Matthews is in love. Unfortunately, her boyfriend, Daniel Hawkins, owner of the Engles Gazette, just so happens to be her boss. A workplace romance is the last thing she needs. What she does need is a great story to work her way from being a copy editor to reporter, and Daniel has given her the perfect opportunity. The Clyburn mansion, a reported hot-spot for political scandal, is also a dilapidated landmark rumored to be haunted. Sitting outside the place on a dark night is the last thing Missy wants to do, but she’s willing to if it means getting the story. Being attacked by the mansion’s ghost is more than what she bargained for, and now, it’s the story she wants to tell. Willing to face the ghost again, she convinces Miles Sutton, her friend and co-worker to tag along, making her best friends extremely happy. Laurel and Charlee have longed for Missy to ditch Daniel. He’s done nothing but string her along and break promises. When sexy Miles comes to the rescue, they hope he might be the one to help Missy see Daniel’s true intentions. With each visit to the mansion, the ghost threatens Missy more and more. Risking her life and her future, she is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. Can she survive the ghostly attacks long enough to discover her connection to the spirit or will she sacrifice everything to keep a love from going down in flames?
