Scorched

Sixteen-year-old Trinity Foxx thought she'd heard everything. Until Christmas Eve, when her kooky grandpa brings home what he claims to be the world's last dragon egg. Trinity thinks he's been duped, until soldiers break into the museum, her grandpa goes missing, and a mysterious boy from the future announces he needs her help to save the world from a dragon apocalypse. Connor Jacks is a Dragon Hunter, sent back in time 200 years to prevent dragons from scorching his world. His mission is simple: destroy the egg, save the human race. But Connor's not the only one after the egg. His twin brother Caleb has been sent back in time, too--on a very different mission. Caleb believes dragons have the power to save mankind--if we first save them. In a race against time, Trinity must choose which brother to believe--and which to trust. Should she destroy the baby dragon or save it from harm? The fate of the world may depend on her choice.
