The Purge
Twelve certified works of art including William Shakespeare's "Sonnet 18" & Maya Angelous "Phenomenal Woman" have been chosen for their stature to participate in the first ever Purge of the poetry community.
In a versus format, the best poem from each of the poets commonly placed atop all time lists, those whose works are studied in institutions of higher learning will compete with one of the Saints' handwoven poems.
Each piece has been examined for examples of expertise with five basic writing categories. Structure, Rhyming, Creativity, Storytelling, & Figurative language.
For lack of a proficiency, I exercise my right to Purge.
