"Don't Try Me" is an urban fiction novel based on the author Orrie Kinard's experiences living a criminal lifestyle. The book features Blue Boy, a career criminal engaging in drug dealing, robbery, kidnapping, gambling, and murder. With his cohorts in the streets. Blue Boy embarks on a mission to find out who broke into his house, stole his drugs, and assaulted his wife, while he was finishing up a short jail sentence. The recklessness puts a strain on his relationship with his wife and his family at home. Nevertheless, Blue Boy is intent on taking over the streets and making his mark on the drug scene.
