The Invisible Man
This book is about a genius scientist named Griffin who discovered the secret of invisibility. He comes to the village and rents a room for an indefinite period. The innkeepers suppose that the guest is very badly burned, but this one does not respond to attempts to raise this topic. As long as he pays generously, the service doesn't interfere too much with him. Problems arise when he runs out of money, conflicts with the law and is forced to give up his belongings (including clothes). The hosts start the investigation on their own and from day to day they are increasingly frightened ...
