Why I Tithe

Constance Thornton

Having learned to tithe at an early age, the lessons and testimonies derived from the experience have proved invaluable to the author's faith! Along with her testimonies, in the book Constance dares to address today's RANTS AGAINST TITHING. In a day when the church in general is experiencing a grand lack of support suffering continual attacks on it's integrity from within and without, there is a growing unrest about tithing. Those that promote the unrest no matter how much they have studied, all seem unable to share exactly how the church is to be supported, meekly tendering "offering" as the "pat" answer. their attempts at refute are all too welcomed by those who have become disgruntled with the church. Even the unchurched seem happy to jump on board with that train of thought. Some thoughtlessly promote, "defunding" the church not realizing that a churchless society is an ill-fated society! When we refuse to support the church, the Pastor and the poor, what hope do we lend to the advancement of the Kingdom of God, which is not only the best hope but is the "Only Hope" for this present world!
