Kingdom of Ash

Bryan Healey

Synopsis: The breaking of the world, that great rain of fire and stone, was nearly 900 years ago. Those who survived had struggled to find any footing in the ashes that were left; but with time, the world was reborn. Out of the ashes rose a fledgling society: A faith kindles and begins to spread, crops grow and trade resumes, and tensions between landed men begin to burn. Soon, a power struggle emerges that promises to shake the foundations of this new world. As disputes rage and ambitions flourish, it becomes clear that all that is left is to decide which side to take, and then wait for the walls to breach. Additional Reading: Prior to worldwide availability, there will be three short stories released that offer readers an introductory view into the world of the Kingdom. Two such stories are currently available: Alestha - "Before his march northward, the simple farmhand named Brandin of Lotin, under the authority of his master, Farrin, fought for independence in the southlands. Battling against the tyrannical rule of Bradick of Thukra, leader of the central city of Alestha and the hopeful King of the region, Brandin risks everything he has for a chance at true freedom." Devotion - "After witnessing his father's murder over mounting debt, a young Richard of Tenneth flees into the city of Loridium, to be taken in by the Holy Order. Protected and educated, the temple lecter grooms young Richard so as to lead the faithful, to sit atop the province Order and follow the bidding of the Almighty without question, without mercy, and with absolute devotion." The City - "Out of the ashes of the First Breaking arose the holy city of Deneth, a beacon of faithfulness that called unto it the wise and progressive. But beneath the veneer of magnificence lay a wicked world that governs from below, the city lead by the meak. Yet as unlikely as the city itsel
